The client’s Financial (FI) and Real Estate (RE) processes required a full greenfield rebuild of all WRICEF objects after migrating to S/4HANA RISE. Many of their existing custom developments were no longer clean‑core compliant, and legacy enhancements could not be reused without major redesign. Each process area needed modern, scalable, and upgrade‑safe replacements aligned with S/4HANA architecture. This meant rebuilding every object with cloud‑ready patterns, ensuring strict adherence to RISE and clean‑core principles. The team’s challenge was not only to replace outdated customizations, but to redesign them in a way that fully leveraged S/4HANA and BTP best practices while maintaining functional continuity across FI and RE operations.
Solution
To ensure full clean‑core compliance, we rebuilt the Finance and Real Estate WRICEF Applications with native S/4HANA technologies:
- Converted legacy logic and custom reports into Full-stack Fiori/UI5 and RAP for a modern user experience.
- Replaced interfaces and OData SEGW services with clean-core compliant RAP/CDS services.
- Implemented Flexible Workflow to support approval processes.
- Converted all SAPScript/Smartforms into configurable S/4HANA Adobe forms
- Recreated background processing using S/4HANA‑native job frameworks.
- Recreated SM30 Custom Table Maintenances into Custom Business Configuration RAP Business Reports (https://fioriappslibrary.hana.ondemand.com/sap/fix/externalViewer/#/detail/Apps('F4579')/S32PCE)
- Created wrapper classes for Function Modules, and converted all classic ABAP database statements into RAP EML
Ensured all new components were upgrade‑safe, extensible, and compliant with SAP’s clean‑core guidelines.
